Selection Process
Selection will be made through Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Scrutiny/Verification of Documents and Medical Examination.
- Computer Based Test (CBT):
- HEMM Operator (Trainee) (all posts): Common paper – 100 Marks, 90 minutes duration.
- Paramedical Staff & Overseer (Civil): Separate paper for each post – 100 Marks (Section-A: 70 Marks Technical + Section-B: 30 Marks GK/Reasoning/Aptitude), 90 minutes duration.
- No penalty for wrong answers. No marks for un-attempted questions.
- Bilingual (English & Hindi). In case of any ambiguity in Hindi, English version will be final.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: UR/EWS – 50 marks; SC/ST/ESM/OBC(NCL)/PwBD – 40 marks.
- Tie-breaking rules prescribed for each category of posts (matric marks, DOB, Section-A marks, alphabetical order etc.).
- Indicative syllabus given in Annexure-A, B & C of the notification.
- Document Scrutiny / Verification: Only candidates who qualify CBT as per cut-off will be called for verification of original documents/certificates in order of merit.
- Medical Examination: Selected candidates must be found medically fit as per CIL Medical Attendance Rules.
- Final selection is provisional and subject to verification of all documents, character & antecedents, and medical fitness.
- Result and provisional merit panels will be published on NCL website.
How to Apply
Application Mode: Online only through the official website https://www.nclcil.in (Career > Recruitment > Apply Online). No other mode accepted.
Steps to Apply:
- Visit https://www.nclcil.in → Career → Recruitment → Employment Notice/Advertisement for Direct Recruitment → Apply Online.
- Register and fill the online application form carefully with all mandatory details.
- Upload scanned copies of: Recent passport size photograph, signature, Matriculation certificate, HMV/Transport License (for HEMM posts), relevant Diploma/Degree/Registration certificates, Caste/EWS/PwBD/ESM certificates (if applicable).
- Pay the application fee online (if applicable).
- Submit the application and take a printout for future reference.
- Keep checking the NCL website regularly for updates, admit card, result etc.
General Instructions
- Candidates must read the complete Employment Notice/Advertisement carefully before applying.
- Cut-off date for determining eligibility (age, qualification, reservation etc.) is 01-05-2026.
- Minimum/Essential qualifications acquired through distance learning/part-time shall not be considered.
- Reservation & relaxation benefits will be given as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates must possess valid certificates in prescribed format.
- All future correspondence/updates (admit card, result, notices etc.) will be available only on NCL website www.nclcil.in. Candidates are advised to visit the website regularly.
- Mere issuance of admit card does not guarantee eligibility. Candidature remains provisional till document verification.
- Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
- Decision of NCL Management in all matters relating to eligibility, selection etc. shall be final and binding.
- Court of jurisdiction for any dispute will be Hon’ble MP High Court, Jabalpur (M.P.).
- Selected candidates can be posted in any mine/establishment/hospital of NCL and are liable for transfer to other subsidiaries of Coal India Limited.
- No TA/DA will be paid for document verification or joining (except 2nd class Non-AC fare for SC/ST candidates for CBT as per rules).
