Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

• Date of Birth: Between 01 July 2005 and 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive)
• Upper age limit on enrolment date must not exceed 22 years

Marital Status

• Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible
• Candidates must undertake not to marry during the 4-year engagement
• Female candidates must not become pregnant during service (violation leads to dismissal)

Educational Qualification

• Science Stream: 10+2/Intermediate with Maths, Physics & English (50% aggregate + 50% in English) OR 3-year Engineering Diploma (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/Computer Science) with 50% marks OR 2-year Vocational Course with Physics & Maths (50% marks)
• Other Streams: 10+2/Intermediate in any stream (50% aggregate + 50% in English) OR 2-year Vocational Course (50% aggregate + 50% in English)

Domicile Categories

• Permanent Domicile: Permanent residents of districts supported by Domicile Certificate from Gazetted Revenue Officer
• COAFP-I: Children of currently serving Air Force personnel posted in relevant State/UT
• COAFP-II: Children of retired/discharged/deceased Air Force personnel residing in State/UT for minimum 1 year

Agniveervayu Physical & Medical Standards

• Minimum Height (Male): 152 cms
• Minimum Height (Female): 152 cms (147 cms for NE/hilly Uttarakhand; 150 cms for Lakshadweep)
• Visual Acuity: 6/12 each eye, correctable to 6/6
• Refractive Error Limit: Hypermetropia +2.0D, Myopia -1D (including ±0.50D Astigmatism)
• Colour Vision: CP-II
• Chest (Male): Minimum 77 cms with 5 cms expansion
• Chest (Female): Minimum 5 cms expansion
• Hearing: Able to hear forced whisper from 6 metres, each ear
• Dental: Healthy gums and minimum 14 dental points
• Tattoos: Permanent tattoos restricted to inner forearm and back of hand only; offensive tattoos are disqualifying

Agniveervayu Pay Package

• On completion: Seva Nidhi package of approximately ₹10.04 lakh (excluding interest)
• Non-contributory life insurance cover: ₹48 lakh during engagement period
• No gratuity, pension, or PF contributions
• No Ex-Servicemen (ESM) status after discharge
• Up to 25% of each batch may be offered opportunity to apply for regular Airmen cadre

Medical Assistant Physical & Medical Standards

• Refractive Error Limit: Not exceeding +3.50D including Astigmatism
• Colour Vision: CP-II
• Chest: Minimum 77 cms with 5 cms expansion

Medical Assistant Pay & Allowances

• Training Stipend: ₹14,600 per month during training
• Post-Training Salary: Starting gross emoluments minimum ₹26,900 per month (including Military Service Pay) + Dearness Allowance
• Other Allowances: Transport Allowance, CPMA, Leave Ration Allowance, Children Education Allowance, HRA
• Leave: 60 days annual leave + 30 days casual leave per calendar year
• Insurance: Group Insurance cover of ₹62.5 lakh at premium of ₹3,200/month
• Employment Duration: 20 years, extendable to age 57
• Job Role: Training in nursing and first-aid, management of medical stores/dispensaries, ward supervision duties

Phase I: Online Written Test

Marking Scheme: +1 mark for correct answer, 0 for unattempted, -0.25 for wrong answer. Candidates must qualify in each subject individually.

Phase II: Physical Fitness & Adaptability Tests

• Physical Fitness Test (as detailed above)
• Two written Adaptability Tests assessing suitability for military life

Phase III: Medical Examination

• Detailed medical examination by Air Force Medical Team
• Tests include: Blood haemogram, urine tests, biochemistry profile, chest X-ray, ECG
• Appeal Medical Board available for unfit candidates (₹40 appeal fee)

• Online Registration Begins: 06 July 2026 (1100 Hrs)
• Online Registration Ends: 26 July 2026 (2300 Hrs)
• Online Examination: 22-23 September 2026
• Provisional Select List (PSL): Last week of May 2027
